Performances from Grammy-winning and critically acclaimed artists including Moby, Natasha Bedingfield, Cold War Kids, Matisyahu, Imogen Heap, Talib Kweli, Five For Fighting, Switchfoot, members of Nickel Creek and Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers, Rocco Deluca move this chilling information into inspiration for stopping it. Dr. Cornel West connects the music of the American slave fields to the popular music we listen to today, and offers this connection as a rallying cry for the modern abolitionist movement currently brewing.

When 13-year-old Adriana (Paulina Gaitan) is kidnapped by sex traffickers in Mexico City, her 17-year-old brother, Jorge (Cesar Ramos), sets off on a desperate mission to save her. As Jorge dodges overwhelming obstacles to track the girl's abductors, he meets Ray (Kevin Kline), a Texas cop whose own family loss leads him to become an ally. Chinese director Li Yang's Blind Mountain unabashedly tackles the issue of white slavery. Lu Huang stars as Bai Xuemei, a student conned by traffickers and sold as a wife to an isolated village. Raped, beaten, and forced into sex slavery, she gains no sympathy from the apathetic locals, who resent her presence. Eventually, help arrives, but such assistance is illusory, and only indicates the beginning of another onslaught of tragedy.
